"I lived in an industrial loft in Soho in 1975-77. Needless to say, we had no garden. So, when we were asked to design a central garden for the apartments and townhouses in Soho Mews, I was very pleased and excited. The commission was to provide a real secret garden for the residents with trees, shrubs, a lawn, and sculpture terraces; a real private outdoor space to sun, play with the baby, read, and socialize.
